Turbo Technology helps Anglicare
Anglicare and Turbosoft Networks have partnered together to ensure a reliable network and quality traffic analysis between the Anglicare - Sydney head office and its surrounding metropolitan offices.
Anglicare - Sydney's head office is located in Parramatta. This is where the main data centre is based and all forty metropolitan offices heavily rely on easy access to core applications so they can provide quality support and information to their clients.
Anglicare IT Manager, Robert Levee, said staff were consistently plagued with poor application performance and session dropouts. "The service was verging on unusable and both the staff and Anglicare management were getting quite frustrated," said Mr Levee.
The numerous complications encountered by the IT staff led them to ask for assistance from Australian software developer, Turbosoft Networks and its NetScope FastTrack solution to help fix the problem.
"We installed the Turbosoft appliance and were immediately able to identify the predicament and how to best resolve it," said Mr Levee.
"The problem was caused by large volumes of email traffic, which resulted in critical terminal services traffic being directly affected."
Turbosoft Networks eliminated the problem by shaping the Wide Area Network (WAN) traffic to guarantee bandwidth for time sensitive data, such as terminal services.
Turbosoft Networks Director of Sales and Marketing, Arthur Haddad, said the problem was easily resolved, and with NetScope FastTrack it can now be proactively monitored.
"It is great to be able to provide clients with improved network performance on the same or less bandwidth. It really helps our clients save on expense and time by not having to upgrade the entire network infrastructure," said Mr Haddad.
"Anglicare have been provided with Turbosoft Networks monitoring tools, which have allowed them to be proactive rather then reactive when future problems occur."
